About the Role
We're seeking a Data Analyst to transform data into actionable insights that drive Smule’s innovation and growth. You'll dive deep into data, uncovering patterns and providing strategic guidance across teams. Your work will play a pivotal role in understanding user behavior, identifying opportunities, and optimizing performance across our platform. If you love finding stories in data and translating them into strategies, this is your stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Use A/B testing methods to evaluate the effectiveness of new features and campaigns.
- Partner with Product squads to identify and validate key opportunities, define KPI targets, and rapidly measure the impact of feature launches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Engineering, to support and align business objectives.
- Develop reports, visualizations, and dashboards that bring data insights to life for stakeholders.
- Collect, organize, and analyze large datasets from various sources, focusing on user behavior and business operations.
- Identify key metrics, track performance against KPIs, and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
- Ensure data quality and accuracy through regular audits and troubleshooting.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices in data analytics, tools, and technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data analytics or a similar role.
- Proficiency with SQL and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis and A/B testing techniques.
- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and automation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- 4+ years of experience in data analytics or a similar role.
- Experience in predictive modeling, search, or recommendation systems.
- Background in consumer-facing technology or the music industry.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Snowflake.
- Experience in data visualization best practices applied within Tableau or similar tools
