About the Role

We’re looking for a Product Manager with strong mobile app experience to help shape the future of Smule—making it easier (and more fun) for people to connect through music. With 20 million monthly active users and a long track record of collaboration with major music brands and global talent, Smule is evolving from karaoke into a broader platform for creative expression.

In this role, you’ll drive the product vision and roadmap for our mobile applications, ensuring seamless experiences from development through release. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams to bring creative ideas to life, optimize key user flows, and make a real impact on how people discover, engage with, and enjoy Smule on iOS and Android.

Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to Utah. We’re happy to provide relocation assistance for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Mobile Product Vision & Roadmap: Develop and execute a clear, data-informed product roadmap for our mobile applications, aligned with strategic OKRs and growth goals.

• Release Management: Own the mobile release cycle—collaborating with engineering and QA to ensure timely, high-quality updates on both iOS and Android.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Founder/CEO, VP of Product, Engineering, Design, Machine Learning, and Marketing teams to turn product ideas into user-facing features.

• Execution & Optimization: Write detailed user stories, define acceptance criteria, and lead feature development with a test-and-learn mindset.

• Project Management: Launch new initiatives, make smart trade-offs (including when to sunset features), and adapt priorities based on business and user needs.

• Tool Proficiency: Use JIRA and related tools to manage workflows, track progress, and foster team alignment.

• Global Team Collaboration: Coordinate with teams across time zones—including key collaborators in Bulgaria—to ensure smooth communication and project delivery.

Key Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of product management experience, ideally in a B2C mobile environment.

• Demonstrated experience with mobile app development, release cycles, and app store submissions.

• Experience in gaming, social media, or the creator economy is a plus.

• Background in Engineering, Development, or Design preferred.

• Strong product instincts with a passion for user experience, technology, and music creation.

• Excellent communication skills—humble, clear, and thoughtful—with the ability to know when to persuade and when to listen.

• Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and similar tools.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and creative environment.

Bonus Attributes

• Experience working with machine learning teams.

• Familiarity with user-generated content platforms.

• SQL experience.
